Despite the UK banks posting record profits, it looks like the taxpayer (savers) will have to pay yet more money to the banks to bail them out, and keep feckless borrowers happy. The Bank of England and government are scamming taxpayers, those with mortgages have been pampered for 13 years with abnormally low interest rates, whilst savers have picked up the tab for their spending (on borrowed money). It is time the people with loans were made to pay their way, instead of raping savers to keep their in their lifestyle. If this crashes the housing market, so much the better, it is grossly overpriced. Recorded from Channel 4 News, 04 August 2010.

In mid-June, a protest group marched on Washington DC to deliver more than six thousand signed petitions that clearly stated that the American people want the Treasury Department to force Goldman Sachs to return the taxpayer funded bailout money they received. Most banks and insurance companies have managed to pay back their loans, but Goldman Sachs has decided that they don't have to, and this comes after the bank publicly announced that they didn't even need the loan in the first place. Mike Papantonio talks with Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, who led the protest against Goldman Sachs.
